Hello, my name is Beth, and I am a 41 year old wife and mother...married
to my best friend of 34 years. I am a supervisor working from home for a company out of Boulder, Colorado.
All my life I have struggled with my weight. After the birth of
my first child, I weighed 221. My grandmother insisted that I join Weight Watchers. She told me she would pay,
and I could share the materials with her. We did the program together, and I lost 60 pounds. I felt like a new
woman.....keep in mind I was still overweight at 5'4".
Well over the years, I managed to get back up to 223 pounds. In
July 2001, I started the Adkins Diet. I did real well losing 13 pounds in three months. I was thrilled; however,
my doctor was not. My cholesterol was climbing and he felt he had to put me on Lipotor. I do not like taking medications,
and decided I needed to take action. So, I got out my Weight Watchers materials from four years earlier (yes, yet again
I had joined and failed), and started searching the net to see if anything had changed since the 123 Success program.
I discovered there were changes, and they were calling the program Winning Points. I continued to search and search...there
was so much information I was getting discouraged.
I did super losing 40 pounds in around six months; however, stress with
job and home, as well as travel and letting myself get tired, I gave up on me and gained that weight back in about eight months.
Well getting back on track takes commitment, and for my health (and to
get back in my thinner clothes), I'm getting back on track. Losing 40 pounds, my feet didn't hurt, my back didn't hurt,
I didn't feel like I had a baby in my belly, and all that good stuff :)
